Congratulations to the American University of the Middle East, Winner of Local CFA Institute Research Challenge. AUM will advance to the EMEA Regional competition.

CFA Society Kuwait held the local finals of the 2020 CFA Institute Research Challenge virtually due to the current unfortunate circumstances with the support of CFA Institute.

Four universities competed and presented their analysis and buy/sell/hold recommendation on Integrated Holding Company to a panel of distinguished judges from the investment community, including:

Mr. Abdulrahman AlFailakawi, CFA – Director of Markets Regulations at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)
Ms. Anwaar Al Mahmeed, CFA – Managing Director of Republic for the MENA Region, and Co-founder of East Chain Co.
Mr. Junaid Ansari – Acting Head of Research at Kamco Investment Company

We would like to thank all the participating teams, their faculty professors and the industry mentors for the hard work. The Participating universities were:
